  14.  You must choose if you wish to install the Virtual Database Management
  15.  System in your dBASE IV directory if you have the dBASE program or if
  16.  you wish to run the menu system with dBASE IV runtime files.  If you do
  17.  not have a copy of dBASE IV, then you must register this program so we
  18.  will send you a copy of the runtime files for your company.  Read the
  19.  appropriate installation instructions for your particular environment
  20.  below.

  26.  This is the batch file that you need to run once.  INSTVIRT needs to know
  27.  where you want to install the menu.  If you choose to install it in your
  28.  dBASE directory choose one of the two options below:
  29.  
  30.  INSTVIRT  C:  C:\DBASE   - if you have dbase installed at this directory.
  31.                             this can be a local or lan drive.
  32.  
  33.  INSTVIRT  F:  F:\DBASE   - if your dbase is running on a Novell LAN Server
  34.                             and your dbase is installed in this directory.
  35.  
  36.  If your dbase directory is another directory than the directory above, enter
  37.  in the appropriate name of your dbase directory.

  43.  You may also install the Virtual Database Management System in any directory
  44.  you wish if you are going to use the dBASE IV Runtime files.  If you do
  45.  not have a copy of the runtime files, you may opt to receive a copy when
  46.  you register this program (see REGISTER.FRM for details).  One distinct
  47.  advantage of using the runtime files is that you do not need a dBASE license
  48.  for each workstation that uses the menu system.  You can have an unlimited
  49.  number of workstations using the Virtual Database Management System which
  50.  run your database applications.

  52.  We suggest that you install the Virtual Database Management System in a
  53.  directory called VIRTMENU.
  54.  
  55.  Once again you can install the runtime files and the menu system on a local
  56.  harddrive or on a LAN as follows:

  58.  INSTVIRT  C:  C:\VIRTMENU   - can be installed at this directory on a local
  59.                                or network drive.
  60.  
  61.  INSTVIRT  F:  F:\VIRTMENU    - If you are using Novell Netware install your
  62.                                 menu on this drive/directory if you wish to
  63.                                 share your menu
  64.  
  65.  After installing the Virtual Database Management System on the
  66.  drive/directory above or some other drive/directory.  You must copy all
  67.  the runtime files to the same directory.
